YK Levels / Deepening degrees
These two types of standards actually complement each other.
1. YK-levels
The YKY-levels partly match with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
CEFR fully applies to YKY language programmes, while for the rest, it complements YKDD.
In YKY, we also letter them in Latin (not in Cyrillic) alphabet::
-
A 1-A2
-
B 1-B2
-
C 1-C2
2. YK deepening degrees (YKDD)
YKDD terminology is more figurative, self-explanatory and explicit:
-
TOE ~ A 1-2
"Try out a little of everything / every YK-activity ";
-
PAD ~ B 1-2
"Pick and Dig";
-
Dive ~ C 1-2
"Dive” is figurative;
It means to learn in as much depth as possible.
